Creme Cup

This lipstick has a special place in my heart as it was my very first Mac lipstick, gosh the good old days. This lipstick is a cremesheen finish giving you a creamy and glossy finish. The shade is very pigmented and a perfect everyday colour. I love using this in the centre of my lips on top of a lip liner to give a fuller lip effect [see how I do this here]. If you're just starting out your Mac lipstick collection I think this is a great colour.

Faux

Unlike the Creme Cup, this lipstick has a satin finish. This is my favourite as it almost matte in texture but isn't as drying on the lips. If you're looking for a darker brown nude but you're not quite ready for the plunge this is a great colour as it still isn't as dramatic

Velvet Teddy

I'm yet to meet someone that doesn't like this shade. It has a matte finish so the colour lasts forever. It is a "deep tone beige" and gives of a 90s vibe which has been seen many celebs and beauty bloggers. This colour can be worn both day and night, it's definitely one of my favourites.

 Red

Chilli

This shade is also a matte and another favourite of mine. Unlike the other, this shade is more of a burnt red colour. Since it is so dark it's perfect for the colder seasons. This is an autumn must have shade.

Ruby-Woo

Ruby-Woo is a beauty cult classic and many beauty gurus rave about this shade. It is a matte finish which is what I always opt for when picking a bold red. I love this shade, it's classic, bright and very Marilyn Monroe  The colour lasts most of the day and you don't need to worry about it being too dry. But, bearing that in mind you want to make sure your lips are properly primed and smooth before applying this, just as you would with any matte colour for better application.

This is my only purple shade from Mac and another one of my favourites. It has a lustre finish, meaning that it is pretty sheer but the colour is buildable. I love just tapping this colour on my lips to give me a wash of colour.

Creme D'Nude

Just like Creme Cup the finish of this lipstick is a cremesheen. The colour is very light, a bit too light for my skin tone giving off the whole concealer lip look. But if you like that look give it a go, it's not a look that looks good on me. I have found a use for this lipstick however. I typically apply it to the centre of my lips to make the look fuller as well as rocking a subtle ombre lip.

Tumble Dry

I had high hopes for this lipstick but it didn't really meet my expectations. It has a lustre finish so it is pretty sheer. I've yet to wear this colour out as I didn't find it every looked great but if you've found out how to make this work let me know in the comments below as the shade looks beautiful but it just doesn't seem to be working for me.

So, that's it, my Mac lipstick collection! Satin and matte are by far my favourite finishes as I prefer to add my own gloss if I want too and I prefer a lipstick that has far more lasting power because reapplying lipstick is the most annoy thing and something I forget to do 75% of the time. Since it's the festive season I thought I'd let you guys know a little more about me through a good old tag. Feel free to use this tag yourself as I've taken it from another blogger,  The Enthusiast, and make it your own.

What is your favourite Christmas film? 

I can't pick a favourite but I'll give you my top three which are: Elf, the Grinch and A Christmas Carol.

Here's a fun baby Natalie fact. My sister and I used to watch the Lion King every Christmas Eve in an attempt to rid our excitement for Santa's visit. Much to our dismay it never worked, however it is a fond memory and the movie still remains one of my favourites.

Have you ever had a White Christmas?

No, I don't believe I have, I'm still waiting for my White Christmas.

Where do you usually spend your holidays?

I normally go home for the holidays and spend my time with my family. I'm definitely a stay at home person on Christmas day.

What is your favourite Christmas Song?

I'm going with the obvious and cliche choice of Mariah Careys' All I Want For Christmas Is You because it's just perfect. I always remember everyone, and I mean everyone, trying to hit that high note to no success,

Do you open any presents on Christmas Eve?

Yes, I always get a new pair of pjs, slippers and a dressing gown for Christmas. I love opening them on Christmas Eve because I get to go to bed in new pjs and feel flawless! 

Can you name all of Santa's reindeer?

Dasher & Dancer, Prancer & Vixen, Comet & Cupid,  Donner & Blitzen and finally Rudolph.

What holiday traditions are you looking forward to most this year?

After the Christmas feast, when you're suffering from a major food coma, and you pop the tv on and watch films on BBC and fall asleep. This happens every year, without a doubt.

Is your Christmas tree real or fake?

Fake unfortunately, hopefully one day I'll be able to afford a real Christmas tree.

What is your all-time favourite holiday food/sweet treat?

 Huge tins of Heroes and Celebrations. 

What is the best Christmas gift you've ever received?

I have two favourites, one is from my dad and the other from my mam. My dad nearly always gets me a Pandora charm for my bracelet and they normally have some sort of sentimental value to them which I love. My mam always gets my craft gift like build a 3D horse and I love them, you're never too old for silly gifts. They both mean so much to me, so thank you.

What would be your dream place to visit for the holiday season?

Berlin! or NYC without a doubt!

Are you a pro-present wrapper, or do you fail miserably?

I can wrap a present but I wouldn't say I'm a pro by any standards. I mean, it doesn't look like a two year old attacked it if that's what you mean.

Most memorable holiday moment?

I think the most memorable one is when I was sitting under the tree as a little girl and the tree just gave way and fell on me. That was pretty memorable and funny!

What made you realise the truth about Santa?

It was actually a childhood friend that revealed the truth about Santa and it upset me so much! I refused to believe him. 

Do you make New Years resolutions? Do you stick to them?

Not really, I've never been one for that sort of thing but I think this year I might change it and try one out. 

What makes the holidays special for you?

Being able to spend time with people that I care about, guilt free. So often I feel guilty not doing work but I always try to give myself some well deserved time off to spend with my family and friends.

So here in England it is starting to get pretty chilly and a coat is a must have. Coats are one of my favourite items because it can completely transform an outfit. If you can splash out on a winter coat I would because you're going to be wearing it most of the day. Also, make sure you pick a jacket that is suits the temperature of your climate. My favourite colours to go for are black, grey or tan. Most important, let your coat me a reflection of your style.

So while online window shopping I found a few that caught my eye. These coats vary in prices, starting from £13.99 to £350. The cheapest coat goes too the Black Harrington Jacket (top centre) which is perfect if you live in a warmer climate or if not you can layer a hoodie underneath for more warmth. The most expensive is Paul and Joe Sister Ossian Duffle Coat which is on the far right. This coat has been featured on Zoellas' instagram and I for one have also fallen in love with it's quirky look. The grey fleece makes it look fashionable but still practical so if you've got the money grab it now!

My favourite has to go to the camel coat on the far left. It looks like something Kim Kardashian has but for the fraction of the price (£45?!?! Bargain!). The coat is longer than your average coat which makes anyone look put together without barely any effort. Plus, I'm obsessed with this colour. This coat can be worn to any occasion and still look stylish.

Paul and Joe Sister Ossian Duffle Coat £350 

ASOS has been one of the main contributors to my forever dwindling bank balance. ASOS is an online website that sells various brands of clothes from high street to designer. All items are high fashion and will definitely leave you far poorer after every visit. I've been a loyal customer for years and I don't see that change any time soon. 

So what prompted me to do this blog post is an email I received about their current knitwear and of course I had to see what they had to offer. I must say, I was not disappointed. Here are some of my favourite picks from their current collection. 

I love making a statement with my clothes while staying comfortable at the same time and I feel that all of these items do that. My favourites among these picks are the cropped grey jumper, the oversized navy and the ribbed black roller neck. I love this time of year because the colour pallet is just up my street. I'm not one for bright colours so being able to wear black, blue and burgundy guilt free makes me incredibly happy.

What I love about this collection is that they are so wearable but still make you look fashion forward. The trends I've been loving and will be incorporating into my A/W style is autumnal colours: dark reds, blues, blacks, greens, greys. Another is the turtle neck. I've seen so many people rocking this look and it looks incredible. I think it's about time I join the trend!
